The experiment focused on perceiving a mental image as a target.
The perceptual process aimed at detecting a mental image that was placed inside a virtual “safe”, and it unfolded as follows.
I, the inductor, created a thought image that existed solely within my mind: plums in a glass bowl with a neck and a base. I then mentally placed this content into the virtual box in my mind.
When the image and the hiding process was ready, I sent a real email message to the other participant in the process – the remote viewer (or receptor) – containing a single instruction: “Start the process!”
The remote viewer began the session, during which the following result was obtained.
